The 100 Day Project: 7 Days in!

If you follow me on Instagram then you already know that I am participating in The Great Discontents "The 100 Day Project". The 100 day project is a celebration of process that encourages people to participate in 100 days of making.  You can read more about it here! I think this is a great idea because it helps you place focus on a specific area you may not usually make time for and at the end of the project you will have a collection of something great! Not to mention after doing it for 100 days you will be a pro at it.

So I initially chose to do 100 days of flowers, because I thought it would be something easy that I could do every day without having to think about it.  But then I thought I needed more of a challenge.  I wanted to do something that would really allow me to step out of my comfort zone.  So I decided to do 100 days of hand lettering as well.  After a couple days of doing both I decided that it was just to much to do both so I chose to only focus on Hand Lettering.  Hand Lettering has always been something I wanted to try so I really want to put my all in it and develop my style as I go.

So here is my first week of images!

These are the flowers I started...

Day 1

 Day 3

Day 3

 Day 2

Day 2

 Day 4

Day 4

 Day 5

Day 5

And then I will be continuing only with hand lettering.  I really want to focus in on my hand lettering and hopefully I will only get better from here.

Day 7/100 I Decided to use this day to create a logo for a friend!

I have already missed 2 days but I am going to keep going and try to make up missed days as I go.  But even if I can't do two the next day I am going to keep going in order so at the end I still have 100 designs.  I'll post updates here from time to time but follow me on Instagram for your daily dose ;)

Is there something you have been wanting to do or make.  Go ahead and join in its not to late!

Sunday Eye Candy: Sareka Unique at Shibumi Home

As many of you know I landed my first licensing contract with Shibumi Homes late last year, and earlier this year Shibumi Homes launched their website.  On this site you can let your creativity free. You pick the patterns you love and personally apply them to the products you choose.

I have 10 designs licensed exclusively for Shibumi Homes and for todays eye candy I wanted to just share a few ways that you can mix and match some of my designs to create a fresh, fun and fabulous look for your space.  I had bedroom in my mind for this one but this can be taken anywhere throughout your home.

Shibumi Home has tones of tips and tricks for letting your creative side free and decorating your home so be sure to check out their website and follow them on Facebook for some design tips and inspiration.

Sunday Eye Candy: Lilly Pulitzer

If you know me then you know that I can't get enough of bright colors, and all things girly. So its no surprise that I am absolutely in love with everything Lilly Pulitzer. When I first laid eyes on this brand I fell in love with the bright colors and the organic artwork. I just love how all the artwork is consistent with the Lilly Pulitzer brand.  Something I only hope to perfect for my brand one day. The artwork looks great across a number of platforms. From clothes and handbags, to tech accessories and agendas, I just cant get enough.  And to top it off Lilly Pulitzer is collaborating with Target on a line that is set to launch this April (squeel).  So grab your coffee or tea and dive right into this weeks eye candy. You will get lots of inspiration but beware this will make you even a little more anxious for spring.

Sunday Eye Candy: Mara Hoffman

I ran across this bathing suite on Pinterest one day and have been in love with Mara Hoffman ever since.  Her designs embody everything I love! Fun geometric patterns paired with bold colors. Not only are her swimming suites to awesome her dresses are simply beautiful. On top of that she created a few home decor pieces for Anthropology. I am so glad winter is just about over, her dresses just make me think of lazy summer days! So todays eye candy is some Mara Hoffman pieces I found on Pinterest.

Which one is your favorite?

Sunday Eye Candy

Happy Sunday! Sundays for me usually consist of church early in the morning and the rest of the day is spent being oh so lazy before the start of another busy week.  Sundays are usually family day so I either spend it being lazy with my family or we will go out and about and have fun #sundayfunday!  So if your like me you may spend a lot of those hours on the computer, browsing your social media accounts or looking for some inspiration.  I tend to find a lot of my design inspiration on Pinterest.  Actually I find a lot of everything on Pinterest!  So below is a peak at my inspiration board.  These are pins that I have run across that caught my eye and have inspired me with some of my design work.  Now I don't incorporate every thing I see in my designs but some how they spark my creativity and I love to come look at things I have pinned in the past to bring back some ideas I may have had that I didn't act on.

So I have decided to give you a little bit of eye candy from Pinterest! So sit back, relax, have a snack and let the scrolling begin!
